What’s better than placing fifth at World Competitions?

Having 2 million people worldwide viewing that performance in a two week period, and getting a shoutout from the author of the music the routine was choreographed to.

In mid April, 2018 AGSA, sent 18 athletes to Antwerp, Belgium to represent the United States at World Championships, and World Age Group Competition for Acrobatic Gymnastics. All of the 18 athletes gave amazing performances, and among them, was a stellar routine from Senior Pair Aubrey Rosilier, and Emily Davis.

Their combined routine, choreographed to Disturbed’s rendition of the “The Sound of Silence” has garnered worldwide attention, giving them global recognition. An article featuring this routine can be found on USA Gymnastic’s site with the heading “Davis, Rosilier finish fifth at 2018 Acro Worlds”. The artist Disturbed even reposted their Facebook video with the note “Thanks for using our version of The Sound of Silence!”

Not only has the pair received attention from these large figures, but numerous other sites have featured articles on the pair, such as SeeItLive, Metaspoon, and Loudwire.

AGSA is proud to have these athletes represent us, as well as all those other athletes who strive each day to give their best, despite the endless training and fatigue.
