    Students will demonstrate modern circus skills  such as those seen in Cirque Du Soleil. Partner acrobatics, aerial hoop, silk, juggling, contortion, and more are all taught in this program.

      Arthur Valderde

      Arthur Valverde has been doing gymnastics since he was enrolled into classes as a small child. Aside from participation in the sport, Arthur has over 12 years coaching experience. He has travelled across the country to pursue his passion for gymnastics, and the circus arts. Having previously taught at numerous gymnastics facilities, and multiple circus art schools, he returns to our gym having previously served as head coach for Circus Harmony in Saint Louis.

    Partner Workout

    About

    Acrobatic gymnastics combines the beauty of dance with the strength and agility of acrobatics. Routines are choreographed to music and consist of dance, tumbling, and partner skills. Partner holds characterize the balance routine, while synchronized tumbling and intricate flight elements define the dynamic exercise.

      Michael Hassey

      Coach Michael has over ten years of experience in coaching the sport of gymnastics. He is a highly qualified individual, having completed a variety of GAT courses, and obtaining multiple certifications such as NFHS Concussion Certification, and AACCAA Spirit Safety Certification, in addition to the AGSA required USAG Safety Certification. He joins us from his previous residence in El Paso where he was head coach at Olympian Fitness Center.

      Kalee Nichols

      Coach Kalee is a previous gymnast and cheerleader. She has competed through level 5 for cheer, and is a previous level 9 women’s artistic gymnast. Currently she is a part time instructor and student, focusing on athletic training.

    About

    Our recreational gymnastic classes are non-competitive classes where children learn skills based on the 4 Olympic events; Beam, Bars, Floor, and Vault. Skills such as releve walks, arabesque, and split jumps are taught on beam. Bar skills include pullover, cast and back hip circles. Finally, floor and vault skills include forward rolls, dive rolls, and handstand flatbacks.

    About

    The tumbling program at AGSA is a noncompetitive program where students learn to tumble in a safe and structured environment. Students learn skills on a soft floor, along with trampolines. Skills include cartwheels, roundoffs, rolls, along with back handsprings and more advanced skills at higher levels. Trampoline safety such as safety drops are also taught.

      Lauren Smith

      Lauren is a former cheerleader, dedicating 10 years to the sport previously as an athlete. She has also assisted in organizing events such as Parent’s Night Out at a previous facility. Her passion for helping kids achieve a healthy and active lifestyle has led her to our facility.

    • Kathleen “Kitty” Davis

      Kathleen “Kitty” Davis

      Kitty Davis has been in gymnastics for 12 years, the first six in artistic and the latter in acrobatic gymnastics. She was named to the National Team from 2010 to 2014. She has medaled in multiple international competitions, and partook in two World Championships. She was one of the founding members of the AGSA acrobatics team and part of Coach Vladi’s first team to make it through to worlds. Kitty ended her gymnastics career as an elite gymnast with a silver medal in the 2014 World Championships in Paris, France.

    Pre-School gymnastics is for young athletes wanting to build a strong foundation of balance, strength, and flexibility. Balance Beam, Vault, Trampoline, and Bars are all utilized to accomplish this task. Cubs class is for beginner athletes aged 3 & 4, while Super Cubs is more adept students 4 - 5 years of age.
